Overview

This 15-day primate and wildlife safari across Uganda offers an in-depth and immersive journey through the country’s most iconic destinations, blending adventure, conservation, and exceptional wildlife encounters. The safari begins in Jinja, at the source of the Nile, where scenic landscapes and optional adventure activities set the tone for the journey. It continues to Murchison Falls National Park, Uganda’s largest park, for game drives across open savannah and a memorable boat cruise along the Nile to the base of the powerful falls. The experience then moves to Kibale National Park, renowned as the primate capital of the world, for chimpanzee trekking in lush rainforest.

From here, the journey proceeds to Queen Elizabeth National Park, offering diverse ecosystems, classic game viewing, and a boat safari along the Kazinga Channel. The safari concludes in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, where a once-in-a-lifetime gorilla trekking experience awaits in one of Africa’s oldest rainforests. Today you will be picked from Entebbe international airport by our company representative or your 15 days tour guide/driver and you will be driven to your overnight hotel dinner overnight at Kampala Serena Hotel, or Cassia Safari Lodge/Hotel Africana

Picked from your overnight hotel at 9am and head to jinja stop in lugazi have lunch then continue for Zip-lining activities at mabira forest and a nature walk in the mabira Forest to the griffin falls after the Zip-lining activities head jinja to your overnight accommodation have dinner over night at Nile village Hotel/Spa or 2 Friends Guest House, or Nile Front Cottages

Today have a relaxed morning have breakfast 9am then head out at 10am for  a one hour quad biking community trip with your quad biking tour guide get briefed about the experience then enjoy the community quad biking experience after a few hours  have lunch at 12:30 or 1pm after lunch head to your accommodation get some rest and  prepare to head to jinja sailing club for a boat cruise at 4pm for an hour where you will cruise to the source of the Nile east and west end and then to the John Speke monument at the source of the Nile remember to carry some money on you to shop some African crafts after the boat cruise head back to accommodation for an evening nap or choose to drive around jinja town and community dinner overnight at Nile Village Hotel/spa or 2 Friends guest house, or Nile Front Cottages

Today early raiser 6am  have breakfast 6:30am after embark on a 7-8hours drive to Murchison falls national park at 7am with a stop at ziwa sanctuary for rhino trekking where you get to see the rescued white rhino species in Uganda then have lunch at the rhino sanctuary restaurant after head to Murchison falls national park with a stop at the top of the Murchison falls after drive to your overnight accommodation dinner overnight at dinner and overnight at Paraa Safari Lodge, or Murchison River Lodge/Pakuba Safari Lodge/Twiga Safari Lodge

Today early morning at 5:30am have breakfast and embark on A game drive at 6am that will take you and your Murchison Falls wildlife travel mates to spot a variety of early riser nocturnal animals, birds and other wildlife like the big five which include: lions, buffaloes, giraffes, elephants, leopards, warthogs, water bucks and bush bucks, topis and oribi after the game drive come back to lodge relax and rest have early mid-morning lunch at 11:45am a then prepare to leave the lodge at 12:30pm and go for a boat cruise that starts at 2pm along River Nile that finishes close to the bottom of the falls. On the boat cruise watch out for hippos, crocodiles, and birds like the African Fish Eagle along the river banks and take a stunning variety of photographs then head to accommodation dinner and overnight at Paraa Safari Lodge, or Murchison River Lodge/Pakuba Safari Lodge/Twiga Safari Lodge

 Today wake up to a relaxed morning have breakfast at 7:30am and prepare to head to the top of the falls where you will get to see the wild waters of the Nile fights through a narrow water fall down to the bottom at 80-100km/hr. of speed after embark on your 5-6hours journey to kibale national park have enroute lunch then continue to the park for dinner overnight at kyaninga safari lodge/ Primate safari lodge, or Turaco Treetops Safari Lodge

After breakfast today at 9am head to the park headquarters for briefing about the park rules and the chimpanzees’ rules. Thereafter proceed into the forest to search for the habituated Chimpanzees. The search lasts between 2-4hours depending on how far they have gone into the forest in search for food. Other primates to see are: Vervet Monkeys, olive baboons, grey cheeked mangabey plus the black and white Colobus among others. Return to the lodge to relax and have lunch after lunch head out for a nature walk in Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary at 4pm.Bigodi is host to over 138 bird species, several primates like the Black and white Colobus monkey, blue monkey, grey cheeked mangabey and the red-tailed monkeys. The Bigodi wetland nature walks are an initiative of the local community and are therefore a direct way of giving back to the community. Today have a relaxed morning have breakfast at 9am then get ready to drive to Queen Elizabeth national park at 10am the drive may take you 2hours or 2 and hours to reach Queen Elizabeth national park then have lunch at your overnight lodge at 12:30pm and after lunch prepare to head out for an afternoon boat cruise on the kazinga channel at 2pm where you get to encounter hippopotamus, buffalo, elephants and many more. The boat trip also takes visitors to see a variety of countless bird species. After the boat cruise head back to your overnight lodge dinner overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge or Elephant Plains Lodge, or Ihamba Safari Lodge

Today have an early morning at 6am game drive along Kasenyi and Queens Mile provides good opportunities to encounter elephants, buffalo, water bucks, warthogs, lions, Uganda Kobs, and a variety of birds. Your Queen Elizabeth Wildlife Tour game drive will last up to about 4 hours and thereafter return to the lodge for refreshments and relaxation have lunch at midday after have a restful day as you wait for the Bwindi drive the next morning dinner overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge/ Elephant Plains Lodge, or  Ihamba Safari Lodge

Today wake up to a relaxed morning at 8am have breakfast and at 9am embark on a 5-6hours drive to Bwindi impenetrable national park where you will drive through the ishasha sector and get to see the tree climbing lions if by chance you find them on the trees  after that head to Bwindi impenetrable national park on the buhoma trekking side have lunch enroute dinner over night at Mahogany Springs Lodge, Silverback Safari Lodge/The Haven Lodge Buhoma

Today is dedicated to Gorilla tracking which begins at 8:00 am with a briefing from the Uganda Wildlife Authority rangers. Please bring with you a rain jacket, long pants drinking water, snacks, good comfortable hiking shoes/boots, sunscreen, a hat, and insect repellent to enhance your experience. The guides will lead your way into the jungle in search of these shy Primates in the group you have been booked for. Do not forget to take your lunch boxes and all the necessary gear to track the rare Mountain Gorillas which is perhaps one of the most exciting wildlife experiences on earth. Gorilla tours usually involve tracking for about 2 to 5hours sometimes under a heavy rain down-pour but all the same a worthwhile experience. If time allows, on return from the jungle you will go for a village Walk/community visit for a great opportunity to see how the indigenous people live. This delightful moment in Bwindi takes you to learn and take time to appreciate the life of the local people and the Batwa communities. Today early raiser at 6am head out for an early morning game drive to spot the amazing wildlife species like the antelopes, zebras, leopards, worth hogs, and many other by any chance you spot hyenas. The game drive will take about 3-4 hours come back to lodge have breakfast then rest as you wait for the afternoon boat cruise have lunch at mid-day after lunch drive to the docking area for preparation and briefing for a boat cruise on lake mburo where you will get to see a variety of water mammal species and bird species during your boat cruise. After the boat cruise at 4 or 5pm head back to the lodge prepare to have dinner overnight at Mihingo Safari Lodge, or Mburo Safari Lodge

Today wake up to a relaxed morning have breakfast at 8am check out of lodge at 9am then you will embark on a 9-10hours drive to Kampala you will have lunch enroute in Mbarara after lunch we shall have a stop at the equator take pictures then continue to Kampala to your overnight accommodation or where you will choose to stay for the rest of the days before you head back home.
