Chobe National Park is one of Africa’s premier safari destinations and Botswana’s first national park, located in the northern region of the country near the town of Kasane, close to the borders of Namibia, Zambia, and Zimbabwe. Covering approximately 11,700 square kilometers, the park is famous for hosting one of the largest concentrations of elephants in Africa, with tens of thousands of elephants roaming freely across its landscapes. Chobe is divided into four unique ecosystems: the Chobe Riverfront, known for spectacular game viewing and boat safaris along the river; the Savuti Marsh, famous for predator sightings including lions, leopards, and hyenas; the Linyanti Marsh, a quieter and more remote area rich in birdlife and rare antelope species; and the Nogatsaa woodlands, known for peaceful wilderness experiences.
The park is home to a wide variety of wildlife such as buffalo, giraffes, zebras, hippos, crocodiles, wild dogs, antelopes, and over 450 bird species, making it a paradise for photographers and nature lovers. Visitors enjoy sunrise and sunset game drives, river cruises on the Chobe River, luxury lodge stays, birdwatching, and unforgettable safari experiences, often at Victoria Falls
