Nairobi National Park
The Park was the first to be gazetted in Kenya as a National Park in 1946, and it covers 117 Square Kilometers. Giraffe Center
Giraffe Center was started by Betty and Jock Leslie Melville in 1979 after breeding two giraffes at their property. Since then, this project has brought much success and the Giraffe Center is now regarded as a major tourist attraction in Nairobi to see Rothschild Giraffes
Giraffe Center is a sanctuary for the African Fund For Endangered Wildlife which is located within the suburbs of Nairobi city. The Sanctuary plays a pivotal role in conserving the critically endangered Rothschild giraffe. Giraffe Center is one of the major attractions within Nairobi for travelers who would like to do an excursion. The place is open from 9 am to 5 pm where clients can watch and interact with the Giraffe. Visitors are free to watch closely and take photos; You may touch, feed, and even kiss these gentle animals.
Adjacent Giraffe Center, there is Giraffe Manor offering accommodation where guests can relax and interact with giraffes as they pop up their heads through the open windows.


Nairobi Elephant Orphanage
The Sheldrick elephant Orphanage is located inside Nairobi National Park, a 40 Minutes’ drive from Nairobi city center. The Orphanage center is opened for only one hour everyday from 1100hrs to 1200hrs. Visitors go there to watch Orphaned baby elephant bathing and feeding.
The Nairobi Elephant Orphanage is world renowned for rehabilitating orphaned baby elephants before been reintegrated back into the wild. Let us show you this wonderful place, just few minutes from your hotel. To access Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage, you need to pay first $43 entrance fee to Nairobi National Park, then another $20 to Sheldrick elephant Orphanage entry donation.
Nairobi National Museum
Nairobi National Museum comprises collection of past and present Kenya’s rich natural heritage and culture. It was officially opened by Governor Edward Gregg and Dr. Van G.L on 22nd, September 1930. After Kenya gained its independence in the year 1964, the Museum changed its name from Corydon Memorial Museum to national Museum. New 26 museums all over Kenya are under National Museums of Kenya (NMK).
Now the Museum houses both temporary and permanent galleries, that attracts many visitors both tourists, and leaners all over the Kenya and the world. Inside the Museum, you can find: The Cradle of human kind gallery; The Story of mammals; The History of Kenya; Cycles of life gallery; Numismatic exhibition and Asian African Heritage exhibition gallery respectively.
Inside the Museum, there is snake Park, which was stated in 1961 to serve as a home for rescued and threatened reptiles. It’s a popular attraction where visitors can combine with a visit to Museum as well. The park has also aquarium section that houses both marine and fresh water fish
